Overview:

Douglas Conrad

Douglas Conrad, a passionate gay activist, was born on 25 July 1958 in the United States of America. From the 1980s onwards, Conrad was involved in the organisation of several LGBT activities and LGBT Pride festivals in the U.S. and Europe. Later in the same decade he began to capture the life of homosexuals, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender people in Eastern Europe on film. This is a theme that has fascinated him up to now. In 2007, Conrad produced "Belgrade Pride", a short film about the LBGT Pride in the Serbian capital Belgrade. This archive contains LBGT material on Eastern Europe.
