IGLYO

IGLYO is the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer Youth and Student Organization. It was created in 1984 as a reaction to the need for better co-operation among local, regional and national LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer) youth and student organizations. It has organised several conferences and other gatherings and has published about (the situation in) Central and Eastern Europe, such as : Study visit of an Eastern European delegation to an IGLYO meeting in Zurich (1990), First conference with CEE participants (1992), First ever LGBT youth conference in CEE: Eastern Europe Conference Budapest (1996), IGLYO International Hearing on the situation of LGBT people in accession countries to the European Union, Publication of Mind the Gap: A report of the IGLYO Hearing on LGBT youth in EU accession countries (2002).
